This week we found that we're having a boy. I am a little bit relieved & a little bit ---um what is the perfect word? I can't put my finger on it. I did think we had a chance that this go round would be our girl. My number four will be a girl.

Well, it is quite different going from no daddy around for five days & then back again for three & then knowing he will be gone again for another five. The boys have done really well, & I am doing OK. I'm holding on knowing that by this time next week we will have six days in a row that we can completely devote to family time. Yeah! So, I am setting aside a few dollars in hopes that we will do something special together as a family. It won't be much but as they say---TIME = LOVE. Looking forward to some LOVE with Sammy.

Since no one reads or comments on this blog I guess I will write a quick entry about how I really feel today. I am lonely. The boys are finally in bed which is good b/c I've reached my limit for the day. Sam is still out of town. The entire house is silent. The only noises are the leaves blowing on the trees outside and the frogs doing their thing down by the creek. So, this rare quiet makes me stop & reflect on the past couple of weeks. I have to say that I am relieved that things are done with at the church. Its hard to admit but I feel a freedom that I thought I'd lost. And am thankful that everything went smoothly as we left. I know that we have some decisions to make now. And those questions will only be answered with time. I do miss some of the ladies & youth already. And I don't look forward to starting over. I have never been one to make friends easily & right now I don't even feel like putting forth an effort. So I will stick to the few and faithful friends who have been with me through it all. Thank God for You----you know who you are. Since I'm not totally exhausted I think I will crack open my bible & see what jumps out at me. This week I haven't touched my bible even though I have thought about every night as I got into bed. Maybe God has had something to say all along & I have simply ignored him. Being the faithful GOD that he is I pray that he will speak to my heart tonight....I need a little bit of TLC right about now. So, later gaters. I'm off for devos.

I'm watching Leah! Josh & Aubrey are at the doctors office to find out if it's a boy or girl. I may be as excited to know as they are. I can't wait!!!!!

Dark Knight

We went to see Dark Knight, it was pretty good. My mom thought it was 'to dark'. It's a batman movie. I'm thinking it's been a while since she's seen one. She was disappointed that there wasn't a happy ending. She was cracking me up. Anyways, as always it was a nice way to relax without interuption!

Just so you know the post on here may sound a little familiar to my joyfull expressions, I'm still working on doing payu2blog. Sorry for the repetitiveness.

Seven days of sunny weather!!! There was only one day that we were run off by storms but that was after hours at the beach. Personally I was ready to go by then anyways! I will be posting some cute pics later today!

Leaving for vacation tommorrow, we'll catch up in a week!

Almost vacation time!

Three days until we go to the beach. I haven't even started packing!! Most of our clothes are caught up so now I need to pull out our luggage & get moving. Tonight I will do a list of all I need to take, otherwise I can be sure that we will forget something that we HAVE to have!!!!

Last night I went with Staci to a MK meeting. I saw one of the ladies from our MOPS group & she sat with us. (Mothers of PreSchoolers) We tried on some of the new mineral makeup & the whole night they were looking at the 'guests'. That would be Elizabeth & I, that was especially fun...anyways, we're now in the running for $500 cash! That was a perk I wasn't expecting.

After the meeting we headed to CVS, Staci was looking for the sunscreen deal. And I am ALWAYS up for a CVS trip. I"ve been looking for the swiffer pads, everytime we go they're out. Neither of us found what we were looking for but I did go ahead and get some of the softsoap bodywash with some ECB's I already had.

After that it was time for a 'snack'. Actually Staci's brother made us an excellent dinner that isn't even on the menu at his restaurant. It was OMG good & I ate every single bite!!!

I had four hours of me time & it was great!!!! Gracias Stack!

Crackin Me up

So, I'm watching Jon & Kate Plus 8 and Kate is being her bossy self. And has the crew putting up shades/blinds whatever you call them. She didn't like the way they did it first so they had to do it again. And of course she explained how to do 'construction' & not make a mess by having the vacuum going while drilling at the same time, I love the way this woman thinks!!!! I love this show!!!!!

Bummer

Sam took Justus to the movie theater to watch a movie tonight. They had a power outage so noone could watch a movie. Instead they grabbed a snack & had some father/son time. I"m so greatful for moments like these. Justus needs his daddy!!!!

Today I finally watched the 40 year old virgin. We recorded a month ago when it was on TBS. I am glad that we didn't see it in the theater. They bleeped out every other word & I fast forwarded through most of it. But I did like the beginning and the end. The middle was pretty trashy!

At the beginning his friends were giving him tips on how to lose his virginity but he ignored most of their advice. And he fell for a lady and at the end they ended up getting married. Throughout their relationship they never had sex becuse she wanted to take slow & he was afraid. I would never recommend this movie to anyone but like I said the beginning and the end were decent. Except the very last song- it was SUPER STUPID!!!

Deadliest Catch

If you have ever watched this show then you are probably a reality show addict. Which I am. This is one of the series that I watch all the time. Tonight there were two boats side by side. On one of the boats there was a crew member securing crab pots & he fell of. The second boat went to save the man & they were sucessful. After the captain realized they had saved the man he had that rush of energy. You could tell that he was full of adreniline. He kept hugging the guy & saying I thought you were gone, over & over. IT was awesome to see them come together so quickly to save member of another boat. They are an fraternity of sorts I guess. I of course cried!

It is really important to get out of the water ASAP because hypothermia can set in in a matter of minutes!!! He was a little in shock but ALIVE! I guess that's part of why they make the big bucks!

Sam left the van home today so Aubrey & I decided to take advantage of having transportation. We needed to grab some gas first so I get to the pump & try to use my card and it won't work. By this time we're running on fumes & I'm fuming as well because neither I or the attendant can figure out the problem. So I pull out my faithful paypal card & BAM we have gas! IT's a good thing too b/c I didn't have any cash & we wouldn't have even made it home.

After the gas fiasco we headed to the park & had a good time playing under the shade trees! The fair is setting up for next week & Justus kept asking to ride the rides that were just now being set up. He's super excited. SO we will either steer clear or invest in some tickets so as not to be tortured by his begging!

We always go & watch the fireworks but since Justus is getting older he knows what the rides are & I guess we'll have to step it up a bit.

A quick post. My back has been in pain most of the day. I had a huge ice pack on my back until time to eat supper. That felt so good. For the most part it has felt better this evening. And I hope that it continues that way. It has been on & off for at least a week. YUCK, I'm really glad that it's not an every day thing like my momma's!!!!

Right now there is a storm headed this way & it's getting pretty close. The kids (all 5) are down here playing. Sis is rearranging my furniture. And the boys keep going back & forth between playing basketball and Kung Fu Panda....they all have one of the McDonald's toys. They are funny to listen to the stories they come up with all on their own. The storm is getting closer & I see the lightning....more later.

Well, I kind of hung around the house today until it was time to go to a baby shower. It was nice to get out of the house for a little while. Mom, Aubrey & I went together and we picked Staci up on the way. We saw some old friends from churches past so that was fun. The highlight was seeing a newborn baby just a little older than a week. Or was a little less than a week? Either way she was SUPER cute & especially small. I SO wanted to hold her but she is very new to this world and her parents are new at this as well....hopefully we will get to see her again in a couple of months...when the shock & awe are dulled just a bit. Now I'm just watching some ebay items, blogging and counting the minutes until the double duo go to bed.

Staci came over tonight to give me some pointers on payu2blog, we'll see how it goes. For now I've got to get to bed, it's after 1am. I'm sleepy. Night all!

Today was rough. My big guy is having some behavior issues. I am exhausted and ready for a shower and bed. Tommorrow we'll start fresh. It's always harder when daddy is out of town!

Zeke has heard his cousin talking alot about going to the bathroom and now he is showing some interest. Sometimes he says he wants to poop in the potty & other times he wants to pee too. Tonight he asked to do both. I ignored him the first time but then when he asked the second time I took his diaper off & put him on the stool to pee. He stuck his tummy out pretended to pee. I said good job zeke and then got him off of the stool to start the bath water. I turn back around to get my naked kiddo and he is peeing ON the potty. A least it was good aim. If only he had been on the stool. Little stinker. Next time I will start the water before we take the diaper off and try to go potty.

Party Preview

Zeke & Leah's party will be together again this year. They are only a few weeks apart and it was so much fun last year! Aubrey wants to do Lady bugs for Leah so I will do other bugs for Zeke. If you guys have any ideas or suggestions let me know. I have found LOTS of buggy stuff I can do that is edible but also loaded with sugar so I am looking for ideas to make bugs with veggies or something not so sweet. Keep an eye out! I'm thinking we'll do some buggy games as well.

Somehow I have pulled a muscle in my back. I am praying that tommorrow it will be better. IT's not really a good time to have back problems since Sam will be a youth camp for a couple of days. I took some ALEVE earlier & it worked for several hours but it's wearing off. I'm not sure how it happened and that makes it even more frustrating!

All in all we had a great weekend. My husband Sam is a BIG Tennessee Vols fan so I got him a new Nike duffel bag with their logo on it. He always borrows my luggage so I got him his own for short trips. He went nuts over it. I'm really glad that he liked it. I thought he might think it a cheesy gift. Either he covered his dissapointment well or he really did like it. He's taking our youth to camp in a few days so I will be without backup. The kids won't know what hit em! I'm planning some fun activities while daddy is MIA & but I will also go into super strict mode as well. Hopefully this combo will help me retain a balance of fun & sanity!

Tommorrow is Friday! Sam is speaking at the homeschoolers softball banquet. One of my favorite youths is on their team. Her mom asked Sam to speak. Kinda cool! Justus and I are going too but Zeke will stay with Aubrey. I'm not sure how long it will last so we will play it safe.

Garden

Our little garden is sprouting quite nicely! Tomatoes are tee tiny but you can see em' coming! Home grown tomatoes are the best! yum, yum~ It's almost time for some blt's! We are also growing cantelope, watermelon, beans, & squash. I think there is something else but cannot remember right now.

Today we went outside for about an hour. We weeded the garden. Sweat was rolling down my face & back. Man it's hot!!!!! Especially when you already have sunburn. ( From the splash pad yesterday).

ANyways, I will post a pic of the garden when I remember to take the camera outside!

Hot, hot ,hot!

We took Justus to see Kung FU Panda today. IT was pretty funny! Justus enjoyed it but as usual was getting the wiggles near the end! His favorite part of the day is going to the little arcade that they have there at the movie theatre. We could spend quite a bit of time there. He is so much fun to watch when he's playing a game. He makes me smile every day!

TGIF

Usually Fridays don't mean much around here, they're just another day in the week. However we have the rare occasion that there isn't something we have to do with church. So tonight we had pizza and then Sam is spending daddy time with the boys while I go see a movie with Staci. ANd tommorrow mom is going to watch the little one so WE can take Justus to see Kung FU Panda. He's driving us nuts!!!! Sam made the mistake of telling him we're going to see it so now every ten minutes he wants to know if we're going yet. Daddy may have a long night!

Dry Drowning

Have you ever heard of this???? A friend of mine sent me a story of a little boy who died hour after swimming in a pool. HE walked home from the pool with his mother & sister! At some point during the day he swallowed some water and it got into his lungs. It's crazy scary!!!!!

His mom said that when he swallowed the water he soiled himself. And later was extremely tired. When she went to wake him up from his nap he had a spongelike substance on his face. How sad for that mother. How devestating!

The signs that you should look for are unusual behavior, extreme fatigue, & trouble breathing. These things happen because the brain is getting less oxygen. WOW, another thing we need to be aware of and watch for. It makes me scared to death to let the boys take a bath without me being there EVERY single second!!!!!

Today is Wednesday so tonight we will be going to church. It's my night for nursery. I always have fun in there playing with the little ones. On the weeks it's not nursery night I alternate between going to youth and the bible studies. This week is the start of a new study so I will miss the beginning but they are supposed to be video-ing the class so should be able to watch it later.

Wednesdays are one of Justus' favorite days. He loves to get out of the house and go to 'class'. He is a high energy little guy and the teachers have to keep on their toes whenever he is in there. Most of the time it's not a problem but occasionally he gets out of hand. I don't want him to have the PK attitude of 'this is my place, I'll do as I want'. I also don't want him to get tired of going to the church because that's the only place we ever go. Finding a balance is difficult.

Zeke doesn't really care yet, he is pretty content most anywhere as long as he has had enough sleep.

Number one

So, today I've started a new blog. Hopefully it will come in handy in the next few weeks. I need to make a few extra bucks so maybe this blog will be helpful. Today is tuesday but is feels like it should be Friday already. We had a long day here and I was so glad to go to the Y & walk for a few hours. That always helps me work off some steam. Living with fourteen people in the house can get quite interesting at times. And frustrating as well!

We looked at a house to move to this weekend. It is a cute SMALL house. I actually think that it is smaller that the space that we have now. But it would only be the four of us. And there is a HUGE backyard which we would be responsible for keeping up. A thought that I think is rather funny considering we have NO lawn mower, not even a push mower.

The house has two bedrooms & all the normal stuff: bathroom, kitchen, livingroom. And that is about it. The guy wants to rent it for 450-500, not a bad price for the area but with the prices of everything going up I am reluctant to move from here. It's crazy because I would LOVE to have my own bathroom again, own kitchen, own space period. But~ all the what-if's are looming in the back of my mind.

We have a few weeks to decide while he does some remodeling. Between now & then we will be praying for God to guide us. I am willing to take a step of faith but I would also like to have some confirmation. Wonder how that works!??? We'll see what happens!

May first, only twenty six more day until I turn 29. So for just a few months Sam and I will be the same age. How fun. Well, it's softball season so we won't be seeing much of Sam for the next 12 weeks or so. He has a game tonight. Thankfully we'll be headed to the YMCA to release a little energy!

It's the last day of the month and this week has been much less hectic than last week. STill the beginning of the month is just around the corner, in just a few hours. And that means starting all over with the monthly events at church and celebrating birthdays around here and life just in general gets busy. Already the first five days of May have something schedule for daytime and evening. IT's a busy season gearing up for summer, the kids at school are getting antsy & the youth as well. They are so similar to Justus they just want to get outside & play...the warm weather is call I guess.

Poor Miley
I know that most of our kids aren't really to the age of watching/listening to Miley Sirus but I really feel bad for her and all the negative press she is getting. Anyone have an opinion? The picture looks a little risque to me but her parents were there & you never know how someone else is going to represent you!

Nationwide Commercial
Have you seen the Nationwide commercial about kids??? The theme is take your kids to work day, & the mom is a teller at a bank. The kid sees the mom send an envelope from the bank to the customer, mom walks away & the kids starts sending stuff too. Pens, quarters, a sandwich etc. It was Hilarious to me! Anyone else seen it?

Mudbug
Sunday & Monday it rained so water was standing around everywhere. The boys were going nuts being cooped up in the house. Sam took them outside while I finished cleaning up supper dishes. They were wearing their rain boots when they went out. They were filthy by the time we brought them back in the house & went straight to the bath tub. I had to rinse them off before the bath b/c they were so dirty. Justus was so busy running around gettting gross, he loved it! And Zeke was obsessed with stomping in the puddle. It's was fun to watch! And hard to get good pics. They didn't want to stop the fun to take a pic. I got a few good ones.

Escape
Tonight Aubrey & I are going to see the movie Fool's Gold at the two dollar movie. We both are feeling the need to escape from the house. We went last week & saw National Treasure 2, it was really good if you like that kind of movie. We think there will be third and will probably go see that too. I like the Indiana Jones movies, Lara Croft, The Mummy all those kinds adventure/treasure hunt kind of stuff. Fool's Gold is of course a different type of movie. ANyways, I gotta go get ready.

Update, daddy must have sensed, I mean heard, seen, heard some more my frustration because tonight we're going to see another movie. This is two weekends in a row & much needed me time. Two uninterrupted hours with nothing to do but sit there and enjoy. I will be having raisinettes & popcorn. And having the time of my life (for the moment). Yea Sam!!!! Thanks for being so understanding and working so hard!!! I do appreciate it.

This week is one of those that I"d just like to escape to another world. One where my husband could spend the evenings with his family. But it's not to be. This week he has had baseball M& T, church on W. and now tonight thru Sunday he has church events each night followed by another game on Monday. That is a complete week without daddy during the evening. The steam is building up between my ears, it should erupt & come spewing out at any moment. Oh, and not only that but he also has to be at the church for a youth fundraiser from 9-2.

Today is Jaiden's official birthday, so we decided to have another party. With cake again....who doesn't like cake??? If you don't I really don't care it's just one of those dumb things you say. Anyways, it's my turn to cook supper & and I wanted to do a dessert anyways so I'm making a Eclair Cake. YUMMY, I should put it on the Recipe Place. IT has pudding, cool whip, graham crackers & chocolate icing. I got a CARS candle to go on top & scrounged up a few little things to put in a bag so he can open something up on his actual birthday. Celebrating your birthday twice is the way to go! Especially if your young. Next year when I turn 30, I will not NEED to celebrate twice, as I will be thinking of it all year long!

Finally an update~ things are going well for my mom. She works in a New doctors office with only a handful of people & she LOVES it! Thank you Jesus! Things are busy, busy around here. The boys LOVE having thier cousins around, and for the most part it's been a smooth transition. The hardest time is bedtime b/c quarters are cramped everyone TRIES to be respectful & quiet but it's HARD. Supper time is CRAZY but enjoyable. Showers/baths are interesting; especially when we all have to be at the same place, same time like church for example. All in all it works.

I can't express just how excited I am about this night that was planned without any consideration on our part.....can you feel the sarcasim.. would it be wrong if I suddenly got sick??

We have some friends who are moving this weekend so today Justus and I went over to help them pack. They have a little boy as well so they entertained each other pretty well. They also have a puppy named scooby. He's a lab who is humongous (sp)? Well, J is pretty rough with the dogs around here, he jumps on them and plays with them. Apparently he did something that either scared scooby or hurt him because the dog reached around and nipped Justus on the throat. YES, I said throat. It scared both Justus & myself. After getting Justus calmed down and talking to him about the way to treat a dog he went on his way and I promptly had myselft a good cry. I knew that he was fine and the puppy only reacted to pain or fear but still it was a huge rush of emotions. In which I always reply with a cry. I think Marie was scared I was mad, in part I was but only by the circumstances. Not really at her dog & definetly not her.

It's girls night, I'm going see a movie. (National Treasure) The boys are staying with daddy. Sammy has redeemed himself. The boys are happy, momma's happy. Now to figure out the checkbook and make sure it's possible. I may be pulling out the quarters, I'm not ashamed. You do what you need to! Have a good weekend everyone!

PAR-TEE Time
Jaiden (nephew) is turning three this month so tonight is party night. It's time for food, fun and cake. And presents of course. It's crazy. We have a six year old, five year old, four year old & now a three year old....in a few more months we'll have two year olds. Stair stepping I guess, so that being said it's time for someone to get pregnant, and I"m not dropping hints. I'd like to have another someday down the road but not at this very minute.

Baseball season has started-yippee. Five nights without daddy instead of three....O the joy!

So I went back to see what was going on a year ago, this is the closest post to today, things have changed!!!! Zeke is aproaching two instead of one. He can walk & talk now. And believe me he does. Anyways, enjoy the flashback with me.

Tommorrow is payday but today is grocery day.....that really doesn't make sense to me. Don't you think that Friday or Monday would be a good day....why wait until Tuesday when the work week had already started. I'm taking back my complaints & am just gonna say thank you that there is a payday so we have what we need....because God is our provider anyways!

Last night we get a call that our pastor hurt his back & can't preach tommorrow. Any guesses as to who gets the honors??? I know you know...it's sammy. I'm glad that Sam got to preach, it's wasn't my turn to nursery so I got to hear him speak. It doesn't happen this way often, Im usually otherwise engaged when it's his time to speak. Of course, it stinks that our pastor is hurt. But I am still excited that I got to support him. Sam could have be nervous, in my opinion but he wasn't....he lives to preach. And can whip something up in the blink of an eye. I think it a gift he's been given.

Tonight we ordered Domino's pizza. My kids can eat at least as much as I can. This is a shocking revealtion consider the fact that they are not anywhere near the dreaded teenage years. In fact Justus ate more than I did & Zeke ate the same amount. And then later they asked for more. I ordered three small pizza's so there were eighteen pieces. There are only four pieces left. Leah ate two but still that's alot of pizza for those little tummies. These little boogers may eat me out of house and home in a few years!

The day is winding down the boys are watching The Incredibles for the umteenth time. We borrowed it from Josh & Aubrey and have had it for months. Maybe we should buy it for ourselves. Bedtime is officially twenty minutes away, I can see a light at the end of the tunnel but not the chore list. The floor really needs to be mopped while they are asleep so I don't get a million disruptions. FUN! Thankfully I like the smell of the cleaner so its' more enjoyable than a chore should be! Thanks swiffer!

It's that time of year again--consignment time. I always sell stuff every year but end up buying way more than I sell! The boys and I will be at the church helping get things set up and making Sam crazy in the process. He'll deal with it but not happily. As for me I love it cause while we're setting up I get to talk with the ladies & learn more about their families and personalities. Plus I find good deals. I consider it a good deal when it looks new but is at a price that I can afford. It's a great deal if I get it for a yard sale price $1 or less. This year we have AC in there. Last year it was busted and miserable, plus our lead lady had the flu at the time...we survived and are doing it again.

Pigging out
If you like garlic, you should not try these things cause you will want to eat the entire box in one sitting. The boys LOVE them as much as I do!!! Refrain yourself! They are reduced fat & man are they good!

Sometimes I crack myself up like tonight when I am backtracking on blogger so I can get paid to blog. Last night I worked on it some. I was in a foul mood & so now anyone who reads it will hear an earful on how irritated I can get with ministry life. I can totally tell the ones that aren't an 'original' blog but are simply a fill in. FUnny huh? So if you are reading this...have at- enjoy me running my mouth for no good reason. The random ones are in April, May & June of this year. YIPPEE for blogger!

Praises!
Momma is at training today & tommorrow! Thank you Jesus! She's got a new job making the same as she was before but with better benefits! God faithfully provides for us!

Usually I have nursery on the first Wednesday and SUnday of each month but this time I am switching with another lady. Breaking my routine is not that great for me because I am likely to forget to do it next week when I am scheduled. In my mind I will have already done it for the month. Good thing I have my trusty pocket calendar that Aubrey gave me for Christmas! It's really cute & saves me lots of headaches when people are asking us what's coming up for youth, & when can we get together and that kind of thing. Guess I should get ready intstead of sitting here. See ya later!

Sam is gone to our sister church. He'll be gone most of the day.....hum, maybe they will get done early. IF they had had childcare I'd be there to but I"m not cause they didn't so we'll be chillin' at home with the kids. ANd having fun with STACI & Mary Kay products.

Staci is coming today to do some Mary Kay stuff. I'm not sure exactly what we're going to do but it will be a great distraction for me while Sam is gone for the day. I'm hoping we do makeovers because I could use a new look. Even though I'm not a makeup person I still want to look nice & not like some momma who doesn't care anymore. I think we'll have a good time. Staci always makes me laugh!! IT'll be fun!

It's couples night at church. I"m not sure we'll make it seeing how Zeke still isn't his usual self. I hate leaving my kids with someone else when they are sick or not feeling well. No one can do it like mommy , ya know what I mean? Sam will be gone again tommorrow for a church function. Another day minus daddy. This is an all day event. He won't be home until after 5pm, that's our whole day. Seeing peoples lives changed makes ministry worth it but some days I'd just trade for a 'normal' life. The thing is I'm not sure that there is a normal anymore. Dads work all kinds of hours so mom's can stay at home with the kids. I am thankful that my husband is willing to do that for our familly!

Headed to the doctors office. Work will have to wait. Sam always goes with us. A lot of that is because I can't drive but it's also because we like to go together for checkups and everything. Hopefully Zekie will get some relief today. It hasn't gotten any better or worse so I just want to get him checked on. I know that he's OK but I want to hear the doctor say it. ps It's allergy related stuff.

My baby is still a sickie, grrrrr. Wouldn't it be cool if it was like the old days when the doctor came to you? Then you wouldn't NEED a liscense like I do right now. Sam is at church getting ready for tonight and I don't want to bother anyone else so I feel kind of stuck. If Zeke is still sick & not on his way to recovery then tommorrow we'll be headed to the dreaded doctors office. I'm praying for healing!!!! Looks like I won't be going to church tonight.

Well if I were creative I could make up something and fool you all but since I am just plain ole' me I will simply rejoice that it's payday!!! At the same time Zeke is sick so it's not such an awesome day. But we will cope & do what we need to to make it through today. Hopefully he will be better tommorrow so we can go to church because it's my night to do nursery & if I miss it then I have to make it up later and so I end up missing two Wed. instead of one. I think that there should be six people scheduled for one month that way if someone gets sick it's no biggy you call your back up. And just rotate that way. But anyways I hope Zeke gets better I hate it when my babies dont feel up to par!
